In 2023, “Bibliotheca Rigensis” will celebrate its 500th anniversary, highlighting the origins of UL. To mark the anniversary, it is planned to relocate and strengthen the Misiņš Library, along with events to honours the anniversary – UL is now seeking benefactors to help it fulfil these plans.

Financial needs:

EUR 150 000 for publication of a book about the most important items in the library’s collection.

EUR 500 000 for relocation of the Misiņš Library.
