One of the most ambitious projects in the history of the University of Latvia is the construction of the new UL Academic Centre in Torņakalns. Currently, the first two buildings are actively inhabited: the House of Nature and the House of Science. The territory has increased by half of what was initially planned during the last years, thus there is a necessity for a new vision for the planning of the UL Academic Centre, which includes the development of a visual concept (territory planning, volumes of the buildings, facade principles) with 6 new buildings’ total useful area of 46 000 m2, 760 parking spaces, with an estimated cost of 72 million euros.

The architecture project will result in a unified image of the Campus as a sustainable project.
