The Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia truly hopes to celebrate its hundredth anniversary at the end of 2019 with the statue of Themis on its premises, therefore UL is kindly inviting everyone to participate in the realization of the idea with any amount of donation.

For several years, the statue of the ancient goddess of justice, Themis, was housed in the premises of the UL Faculty of Law. Over a time, the statue became one of the symbols of Latvia’s largest lawyer’s “hill”. In the summer of 2017, the owner of the statue moved it to the previous exhibition site at the House of Blackheads. In order to the goddess of justice to mark the location of the UL FL again, the collection of donations for the Themis Competition and the creation of a modern statue have been initiated.
